You know I've been struggling to write for you guys these past weeks, but I thought it's time I face up to it and out something down. So I'll tell you a story about this song I've been listening to.
The song is called; 'People Should Smile More' by Newton Faulkner.
So one day this song came on over the radio - this was a long time ago- I began to think about the song and realised "Hey this guy makes sense!!!" because I looked around and on the streets and in the cars no one seemed to be smiling! I mean seriously is the day that bad really? I'm sure there's something to smile about.
I know it seems like I'm preaching to you and I don't mean to do so because you know what I'm just as bad! I mean after that initial thought I forgot about it for a while. Until I hared it again two weeks ago. At this point I remembered by previous thought and you know what? I was ashamed at myself for forgetting it all so quickly.
As I result I decided that if I did one thing differently I would (to quote Newton Faulkner) smile more because it really does make the difference!
Don't believe me? Well I know this guy he's always smiling, always. Even when everyone else isn't but do you know why? It's not cause he's always having a 'good day' or because he never has 'bad days.' But because he feels that if he smiles "it makes life more fun" It works you know.
It made me think... perhaps we don't have good days or bad days, perhaps we make our days good or bad. Sure sometimes things go wrong and it's hard to smile but just give it a go. After all I reckon if you can find something to smile about in a bad situation well that's half the battle.
So to quote Newton Faulkner (once again) "I'm not saying there's nothing to cry for, but people should smile more!!"
:) :) :) Best one so far!!!!
