Learning

Yesterday's mistake becomes today's lesson, which tomorrow's success heavily relies on. This, ladies and gentlemen is a product of many days thoughts, and has become something I rely on in order to keep on top of things. You see many times I've thrown my self into something and only afterwards realised what a train wreck it was. Then supposedly committed myself to never doing the same thing again.

Many of you will perhaps recognise this situation and perhaps some of you can read this thinking "Yes I've been there and done that and I have honestly not done the same thing more than once." Others of you will be thinking "Yes I've been there several times (a week) but for some strange reason I keep ending up there."

Well I'll let you in on a little secret, it's because you don't up hold that last little bit. The commitment bit. Now I'm not scorning you because I'm one of you. Well sometimes. But going back to the original philosophy, how can we hope to get things right, to be successful when we continually fall into the same traps? When we continuously walk into the minefield of mistakes? I'll tell you how, we can't!

There is no magic solution to this, all we have to do is take a step back and look at the first attempt, the one that often leaves a trail of disaster in it's wake and think: "OK that didn't work, but what will?" I mean nothing goes right first time round or if it does then you have hell of a lot of luck on your side! But what's stopping you trying again? Getting it right this and learning from your mistakes?

Too often we miss this opportunity however I urge you not to allow this to happen where ever possible because sometimes all it takes is one small adjustment to make it work.

Just remember yesterday's mistake becomes today's lesson which tomorrow's success heavily relies on.
